Aecom Army Contract Extended

Los Angeles Business Journal Staff

Aecom Technology Corp. said Tuesday that it was awarded a $78.8 million, six month extension of a contract to support U.S. Army operations in Afghanistan.

The Los Angeles provider of professional, technical and management support services said it would provide general support as well as the operation of maintenance facilities, living quarters and offices at two U.S. military bases, forward operating bases and satellite locations in the country.

Aecom shares were down 30 cents, or 1 percent, to $25.91 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
