Data released Monday by FilmL.A. shows that feature film production in the Los Angeles region dropped 5 percent in the third quarter compared to a year ago.
Overall on-location feature film, television and commercial production rebounded slightly, posting a 7 percent increase and reversing a second quarter drop.
The county’s film permitting agency said the increase resulted in a total of 9,930 permitted production days. TV production days, which includes taping of popular new series like “Ugly Betty” and realty shows like “Entourage,” jumped 15.5 percent to 5,833 days.
