Aecom Inks Housing Deal With Libya

Aecom Technology Corp. said Thursday that it signed a contract worth up to $574 million with a Libyan government housing agency.


The Los Angeles-based technical and management services provider said the contract is for up to 5 years and worth $201 million for the first two years, with three additional option years for a potential total value of $574 million.


Aecom will lead program management for the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya Housing and Infrastructure Board and will be involved in the construction of new housing and infrastructure for major cities in Libya.


Shares in Aecom gained 1 percent to $28.56 in afternoon trading Thursday on the New York Stock Exchange.
