Los Angeles private equity firm Gores Group has completed its acquisition of the power systems business of Tyco Electronics Ltd. for $100 million in cash.

The unit, now part of newly formed company called Lineage Holdings Inc., manufactures power conversion and power module products, including backup power systems for telecom applications.

Lineage operates through two separate entities. Lineage Power is based in Mesquite, Texas. Vincotech is based in Germany and has manufacturing operations in Hungary and China.

The acquisition is subject to a final working capital adjustment.
