Fremont General Corp. named a slew of new company officers and said that two board members resigned. The company was under a federal order to change management.

The Santa Monica-based bank company named Stephen Gordon as chairman and chief executive. Gordon had previously held the same titles at Commercial Capital Bancorp Inc., a regional mortgage company based in Irvine. Gordon co-founded in 1999.

Four other former Commercial Capital executives were brought on as well. David DePillo was named vice chairman and president; Thea Stuedli was named executive vice president and chief financial officer; Richard Sanchez was named executive vice president and chief administration officer, and Donald Royer will join the company as executive vice president and general counsel.

Fremont added that Louis Rampino and Wayne Bailey resigned from the company’s board. Rampino was the company’s former president and chief executive and Bailey had served chief operating officer.

Shares in Fremont rose 4.1 percent, $2.54, in afternoon trading Monday on the New York Stock Exchange.
