Jacobs Wins Contract in India

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Tuesday that it had been awarded a contract by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. for project management consultant services on a refinery project.

The Pasadena engineering company said it will perform front-end engineering design and supervise contracting for the diesel hydrotreater project at HPCL’s refinery in Mumbai, India. The work will include installation of a diesel hydrotreater and associated facilities to meet tougher Euro-IV specifications for diesel.

Jacobs did not disclose the value of the contract, but said the overall total installed cost is estimated at $650 million.

Jacobs shares closed up 21 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $43.59 on the New York Stock Exchange.
