The California Public Utilities Commission by a 4-1 vote on Thursday approved a rate increase that will hike average Southern California Edison customer bills by about 2 percent in 2009.
The three-year general rate case also allows a 1 percent rate increase in 2010 and 2011 for the unit of Edison International in Rosemead.
