Fiji Water Co. LLC on Monday said that it has acquired Paso Robles’ Justin Vineyards & Winery, which is known for Bordeaux-style blends and single varietals.

The Los Angeles company, which bottles water on Fiji Islands and is owned by billionaires Stewart and Lynda Resnick, did not disclose the value of the deal. This is the couple’s first winery acquisition.

The Pacific Coast Business Times ranks Justin Vineyards, founded in 1981, the 10th-largest winery in the Tri-Counties area of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, with 60,000 cases produced last year.

Fiji Water said the winery should benefit from Fiji’s global sales force. Winery owners Justin and Deborah Baldwin will stay on with the business.

“Fiji Water and Justin Vineyards & Winery are both industry leaders with super premium products, strong branding and state-of-the-art operations with a dedication to unprecedented quality,” Fiji Water Chief Operating Officer John Cochran said in a statement.

Fiji Water last week briefly closed and then reopened its operations in Fiji Islands in a dispute with government leaders over a large tax hike. Its parent company, Roll International, also owns the Pom Wonderful juice brand
