Aecom Partnership Wins Large U.K. Contract

Aecom Technology Corp. on Monday said that its joint venture with United Kingdom construction company Galliford Try has received a contract to build one water treatment plant and revamp another.

The Los Angeles engineering services company said it will receive $209 million of the five-year, $532 million contract with Yorkshire Water. The partners will build a new water treatment facility in Acomb Landing, North Yorkshire and upgrade existing facilities in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

“Aecom is excited to be a key part of this vital program as we evolve our relationship with Yorkshire Water,” said Chief Executive John M. Dionisio said in a statement.

Shares closed down 7 cents, or less than a percent, to $27.76 on the New York Stock Exchange.
