Biggest Deal: I’m in the middle of it right now. It’s just too soon to share. Next biggest was representing Pelican Products Inc., a manufacturer of advanced lighting systems and protective cases for professional flashlights, in its $200 million sale to Behrman Capital.

Most Difficult Deal: Representing Rals-MM LLC (formerly Marilyn Monroe LLC) in the sale of substantially all of its assets, including the name, likeness and image of Marilyn Monroe, to a joint venture controlled by Authentic Brands Group. The deal had to close before the end of the year and the terms were changed in the final days of negotiations during the last week of December. I was pacing the floors and we literally closed at about 4 p.m. New York time on Thursday, Dec. 30.

Highlight of Past Year: Celebrating my 10th anniversary with my beautiful wife.

The Secret to Closing a Deal: Being practical and persistent.
