The Port of Long Beach has appointed two new executives. Michael Christensen, the former deputy executive director for the Port of Los Angeles, will have the title of Senior Executive for Supply Chain Optimization while Glen Farren, who has been a general manager for Hapag-Lloyd America, a container shipping company, will serve in a newly-created role that will focus on improving relationships with companies that do business at the port, the Daily Breeze reports.
