Relativity On the Ropes?

Troubles continue to mount for billionaire Ryan Kavanaugh’s financially embattled Relativity Media.

Now a number of the film company’s partners are reportedly demanding back the rights to their movies, fearing the mini-studio will fail to meet distribution requirements by not having the money to adequately market and promote its slate.

A spokesman for Relativity declined to comment.

The Wrap reported over the weekend that Sony Pictures and the Weinstein Co. are among those moving to revoke distributor’s rights. Neither company responded to requests for comment Monday.

Relativity has failed to meet a series of deadlines for debt payments and the Hollywood trades report the company could face imminent bankruptcy unless Kavanaugh can find a new funding source.

The company’s upcoming slate included Halle Berry thriller “Kidnap,” Natalie Portman Western “Jane Got A Gun,” and Kristen Wiig comedy “Masterminds.”
