Teledyne Buys Pennsylvania Company

Teledyne Scientific & Imaging has reached an agreement to buy the assets of Judson Technologies, which makes infrared detectors and accessory products.

Judson products are used in military, space, industrial and scientific applications. The Montgomeryville, Penn.-based company, which had sales of $13.8 million in its 2006 fiscal year, will operate under the name Teledyne Judson Technologies.

Teledyne Scientific & Imaging is a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc., a Thousand Oaks based maker of electronic components, instruments, and communications products. Terms of the deal, scheduled to close Feb. 1, were not disclosed.
