New Boutique Hotel Has Designs on Downtown

Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles has named Wanda Chan general manager. Chan came to the downtown L.A. hotel with more than 30 years of experience in the hotel industry. Before joining Millennium Biltmore, Chan spent two years as general manager at One UN New York, where she oversaw a $30 million renovation and rebranding. … Manhattan Beach restaurant Strand House has named Michael Morrisette general manager. Morrisette has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He formerly worked at French restaurant Melisse and at downtown L.A. catering and event firm Savore Cuisine & Events. Eric Babajko, former floor manager at Strand House, has been promoted to assistant general manager. … Seasons 52, a restaurant chain owned by Darden Restaurants Inc. in Orlando, Fla., has named Jessica Koine opening executive chef at its Century City location, which will debut Nov. 26. Koine will work in partnership with corporate executive chef Clifford Pleau to develop the restaurant’s seasonal menu. She formerly worked as kitchen manager and event coordinator at King’s Fish House in Long Beach. Seasons 52 also named Monica Challingsworth field sales manager at the Century City location. … Mirabelle Restaurant has named Drew Ison executive chef. Ison brings almost 10 years of experience to the Sunset Strip establishment.
