EPA Testing Air in South Bay Homes near Dumping Sites

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has begun testing the air inside dozens of South Bay homes near two of the worst chemical dumping sites in the nation, the Los Angeles Times reports. They are searching for traces of trichloroethylene, benzene and chlorobenzene after worries that such pollutants could be seeping into the soil, putting area residents at risk.
